Hello there!

a Dutch illustrator (and sociologist), trying to understand myself and the world around me. I am adopted from India and raised in a multicultural setting in Egypt, India and Belgium. Growing up, I yearned for representation in stories, books, movies, and greeting cards, as I couldn't recognize myself, my family and friends in these media. I often felt out of place and that I didn't belong anywhere. 

With RAANII, I embarked on a journey to start my own business, dedicating myself  to creating inclusive illustrations and designs that embrace diversity and foster a more equitable world.  I believe that a better world starts with a better understanding of the world. That's why I want to bring worlds that seem far away, as close as possible, through illustrations. 

I aim to empower individuals, businesses, and communities by providing them with artistic representations that transcend boundaries and celebrate the uniqueness of every individual and culture. I aspire to inspire positive change, instill a sense of belonging, and foster a society where every individual feels seen, heard, and valued.

I work for individuals and businesses alike. Changemakers that champion inclusivity. From small personal projects like custom portraits, illustrated maps or wedding invitations to impactful design for schools, trainings, research publications, local governments or childrens book illustrations.  

With digital and traditional mediums, my work is dedicated to fostering a more inclusive world, where everyone feels represented, celebrated, and has access to products that reflect the richness of our society. I try to connect people and cultivate a safe community that encourages dialogue, understanding, and acceptance.
