Saying "NO" is one of the best skills you can learn to protect yourself of going into a burnout (says wiser me - I had to learn the hard way). I found that I was often feeling stressed because I had too much on my plate. But how did it get on my plate in the first place? Once I started to ask myself that question, I realized I was a big 'pleaser'. Always putting others first and saying yes to things I didn't feel like I was the right fit for. Now, I'm not going into the psychology of where this pleasing behavior came from, but I did want to share a resource that has been a game changer for my physical & mental health.

This list of "21 ways to give a good no", by Christine Carter. Just as the title says, there are many different ways to say "no" without being rude or offensive. I lacked the creativity to find the right words, so this list has changed my life. I've made a fun design of my favorite 20 so you can print them out or download them to your electronic devices and keep it near you for when you need it!

There's an English & Dutch version.

If it has helped you, please pass it on!
